The road to success leads through the valley of humility, and the path is up the ladder of patience and across the wide barren plains of perseverance. As yet, no shortcut has been discovered. ~Joseph L. Lamb

For Sale

DULCE'
2008 KWPN Mare, Grey, 16.1H
Price: $19,500
SOLD

Dulce' is a beautifully conformed 16.1H grey KWPN registered mare by Prestige VDL, out of a Riverman Hilltop daughter. Dulce' earned very nice scores at breed shows as a filly. She is sensitive, intelligent, a quick learner, willing and wants to please. She has the power and elasticity for advanced dressage, and yet is easy to sit. She has a good engine. Dulce' likes regular, consistent work and is best suited to a quiet rider with experience taking horses through the levels. Dulce' was shown at First level test 3 in August, with scores ranging from 62% to 72.2%. The lower score only indicated her lack of experience in the show ring, versus lack of ability. By the fourth and final ride of the show series, she had gotten the hang of the showing thing and delivered a very steady, confident ride that clearly demonstrated her talent and training, for the 72.2%. She scored 8 on her trot stretchdown, 8 on her second trot lengthening, and 8 on one of the canter loops.
Video of her 72.2% ride
Dulce' is solidly schooling all Second level work and should be confirmed Second level by the end of the year, if not sooner. She also already half passes at trot with ease, and has been introduced to half pass at canter. As her canter work further develops collection and balance, flying changes are not far off. I will be starting her education over small jump grids during the month of October. She likes to jump and has a pedigree that should bode well for it, but will need further education in that department. She is pretty as a picture, so the Hunter ring might be a super career for her. As well bred as she is, she will also be very valuable as a broodmare. Get her now so you can form your partnership before the next show season!

One week of full training and delivery at cost within 500 miles of St. George, UT will be included in the price.

Black Jack Smooth AKA Eboni
2002 15.1H Jet Black AQHA Gelding
$6900
Eboni is SOLD.
SCWDressage would like to congratulate Suzy Campbell, Red Lodge, MT. We wish you both a safe and happy journey.

Black Jack Smooth AKA Eboni is a 15.1H, 2002 true black gelding of Foundation bloodlines. He has no white markings. Eboni has had a very kind and correct start in life, with only one owner after being purchased as a long yearling. He has experience in a variety of realms, including ranch work, Western riding, Western Dressage, jumping & cavaletti work on the lunge line, and La Garrocha. He is kind, gentle and well mannered. It is with great sadness that he is being offered for sale only due to some recent physical limitations of his owner. For this reason, after five months off from work, Eboni has been placed in my care and training system to be sold only to a long term, loving home with a rider who will meet his talent and kindness. With his correct Western start, he is well versed in all lateral movements and moves easily off the leg. My training will focus on regaining strength and fitness, and developing the connection, throughness, and amplitude of his paces for the Dressage ring. Eboni is very collectible and easy to sit. The accompanying video was shot after only twelve rides. I believe Eboni has the mind and ability to excel at several disciplines, including Dressage, Western Dressage, Working Equitation, Hunters, Hunter Equitation, or general ranch work and trail riding. Not well suited to rodeo disciplines or Jumpers as he prefers a more studious style of work. Always sound, always barefoot.

Kleine
2002, 15.2H Bay Grand Prix Mare
Morgan/Friesian
$58,000
SOLD
SCWDressage would like to congratulate Kara Pack of Cooper Ranch, Las Vegas, on the purchase of Kleine. Kara has been a long time FEI level rider, and is only two scores shy of her Gold Medal. Best of luck to Kara and Kleine on their new journey together! With a heart as big as Kleine's, Kara will have that Gold in no time at all.

This is a lovely, light, sensitive mare trained to Grand Prix by Dallas Sweat of Sage Creek Equestrian. She is owned by Barbara Derksen and is sadly for sale due to personal reasons. You must ride this horse to appreciate her. Do not let her under 16 hand height dissuade you-she has enough substance to take up a taller rider. I am 5'7" with a 33" inseam. My feet do not even come close to being below her belly. Her owner is even taller, and they look great together-check out the last three photos. This horse is very easy to ride for a somewhat skilled rider. She has the kind of engine necessary to ride at Grand Prix-this one won't quit you on the final centerline and you won't break a sweat under that wool tail coat. Judge Michael Osinski said of her flying changes: "Changes have good expression." She has put Silver Medals on two riders already. Buy her now, and she'll help you get your Silver too, possibly even your Gold. View video of our 65% Intermediate II ride here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxrmvUf58s6LTEE5c2hBcGR6eWs/edit
